Senior Product Analyst (Associate level)

Our client is an established asset manager with over 35 years of history. They are adding a Senior Product Analyst to support the sales and marketing teams.

The Senior Product Analyst will be involved with  competitive analyses, ratings and rankings, updates and reviews of consultant databases, and completion of DDQs. Collaborates with all departments.


Competitive Analyses
  • Prepares Morningstar Presentation Studio templates quarterly and ensures timely approval
  • Prepares quarterly competitive analyses using Presentation Studio for a standard set of competitors for Intermediary Sales
  • Prepares ad hoc competitive analyses using Presentation Studio for a custom set of competitors for Intermediary and RIA Sales
  • Maintains a pipeline of competitive analyses completed
  • Downloads, summarizes, and distributes industry asset flow information quarterly using Morningstar Direct; distributes briefer report monthly
  • Accesses data and graphics relating to our peers, indexes, and portfolio characteristics from databases for Fund Stories, Presentations, and other marketing materials, as well as for RFPs
  • Prepares and distributes competitor analyses to sales teams and portfolio managers
  • Prepares ad-hoc competitive analyses for Institutional Sales

Ratings and Rankings
  • Produces Morningstar and Lipper ranking report weekly
  • Produces Morningstar and Lipper ranking report monthly
  • Loads Morningstar, Lipper and eVestment rankings in firm' s proprietary data warehouse quarterly for products and peer group averages
  • Prepares custom rankings and ranking tables for four quarterly letters
  • Provides compliance with the number of investments for peer group averages that appear in quarterly fact sheets.

  • Builds product profiles in consultant databases for Institutional Sales
  • Ensures accurate data population of consultant databases quarterly afterOMNI (eVestment’ s automated tool) sends data out
  • Prepares the personnel file for eVestment database

Due Diligence Questionnaires/Requests for Information
  • Completes 140+ DDQs and RFIs in excel, word, or online for existing and new business



Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’ s degree
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in asset management industry

  • Knowledge of the asset management industry
  • Knowledge of our industry databases (Morningstar Direct, eVestment Analytics, Lipper)
  • Knowledge of financial terminology
  • Knowledge of asset management operations
  • Knowledge of performance reporting

Skills and Abilities:
  • Advanced/Power user of Microsoft Office and Adobe, particularly excel
  • Excellent time management skills, with an ability to handle high work volume with strict deadlines
  • Detail oriented
