Our client  is the premier post-trade market infrastructure for the global financial services industry. The firm is adding a Project and Reporting Associate to their Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) team located in Dallas, Texas. 

The role of the Counterparty Credit Risk (“ CCR”) team is to identify, rate, and monitor the credit risk of member and participant firms, repurchase agreement counterparties, depository banks, money market counterparties, Line of Credit Providers, and critical vendors.

Position Summary:

The Counterparty Credit Risk team is primarily responsible for assessing the financial stability of firm’ s member firms by, including, but not limited to, interpreting focus filings, income statements, and balance sheets.

The CCR team performs several processes, including member reviews and new member applications, ongoing surveillance and compliance assessments, earnings releases, and monitoring of accounting and regulatory pronouncements that impact member firms.

The incumbent will be responsible for providing support to the CCR team by taking the lead on projects, daily reporting, and ad-hoc issues. 

 

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Surveillance and Reporting, including the production and review of daily surveillance emails and tracking workflows to completion (Parameter Breaks, MIS, vendor risk management (VRM), etc.)
  • Allocating new member applications and monitoring their timely completion, including creating MOTS checklists, downloading documents from the membership portal, compiling a weekly status update, and updating bi-monthly regulatory metrics. Enhancements and updates of Member Review templates, as necessary.
  • Data Management — act as administrator to create, update, or remove firm profile and maintenance for activations/retirements; PAOS screen and maintenance; MPID maintenance; daily reconciliation of changes; and all related technical issues
  • In accordance with analysts, issuing Fines for Below Requirements, SDs, and MAOCs
  • Coordinating vendor risk reviews and monitoring their timely completion
  • Coordinate writing of business requirements for Risk Technology (RT); act as the point person on deliverables, including ensuring business requirements and audit or regulatory requirements are satisfied and are prioritized within a budget
  • Oversee testing framework and ongoing enhancements, including recalibration efforts and workflow enhancements
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of related experience
  • Bachelor' s degree with Masters preferred or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of financial statement analysis for financial institutions, particularly banks and broker-dealers
  • Understanding of regulatory rules and regulations
  • Credit Risk knowledge a plus
